Small Raja Ganapathy temple near home in Saligramam!

Grand Kumbabishegam was performed at the newly constructed road side Raja Ganapathy temple near home in Saligramam. Grand affair and nicely done rituals made this years Ganesh Chaturthi very special from all these years.  My Amma enjoyed in bliss every ritual and she participated with full interest all through.

(L-R)  Rahu, Raja Vinayagar, Kethu

Newly constructed temple, which is under the intertwined Arasa maram (aka Bodhi tree / Peepal tree or in botanical name Ficus Religiosa) and Neem tree which together is a sacred tradition in Indian culture, symbolizing Unity and Harmony

The significance of the trio Rahu, Ketu, and Ganesha lies in Vedic astrology's concept of balancing karmic energies.

Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and embodiment of wisdom, serves as a remedy to the potentially disruptive influences of Rahu (representing desires, ambition, and illusions) and Ketu (symbolizing detachment, past-life wisdom, and isolation). Worshipping Ganesha provides mental clarity, grounding, and the ability to overcome challenges associated with Rahu's obsessions and Ketu's spiritual trials, fostering balance and spiritual growth.
